Options for solo free dance in ISI?
« on: September 12, 2013, 10:28:17 PM »
As far as I know, ISI requires that free dance be done with a partner. If I want to have a solo free dance routine in an ISI competition, in which category should I actually join? I think that a solo free dance routine can actually masquerade as a Spotlight performance, but I think there are limits to the steps that you can do. (ex. will including cross rolls disqualify you from doing Spotlight at ISI Gamma, for example?)

Footwork???

My  daughter used to skate solo dance with the patterns in ISI competitions. She also used to love the footwork. The jumps can't be more than 1/2 rotation (most times she didn't do any). She used to incorporate some moves from dance like twizzles into her footwork programs.
