8-foot rockers
« on: September 05, 2011, 12:33:21 PM »
Soon I'll be getting new boots & blades. I have old Comets, with an 8.5 foot rocker. Would like to find something with a slightly curvier rocker but NOT go all the way to a 7-footer. I know Ultimas are 8-foot rockers; does anyone know of any others? I'm at the 'ready to test USFS Bronze FS and Silver MITF," for what it's worth (so no, I do NOT want to spend $600 on blades!!). Probably never gonna get an axel or doubles (age 42), but who knows?

I have just switched from Coronation Aces (7ft rocker) to Ultima Matrix Legacy, which is an 8ft rocker. Both blades have the same spin rocker.  I did not feel a significant difference between the rockers.   I am currently working on Silver moves and Freestyle, but also on the axel.  According to my coach, these blades will be fine for the doubles, so I would recommend either one of those blades.
