What skating skill would you want to master?

If money, time and physical ability were not obstacles, what skating skill would you want to master?  http://tinyurl.com/m33csdn

NB: I miss FSWer - he used to start these topics all the time.  Really kept the board chatting.

My goal is rather humble  :) - I just want a good scratch spin!

From a practical standpoint, a sit spin, so I could pass my Bronze FS test.  Injury is preventing this one from happening.

But from sheer beauty, I'd love to have an Ina Bauer, especially one that swoops across the entire rink.  Extreme closed hips prevent this one from being a reality - but you said to exclude physical ability!

A beautiful lay back spin.  Of course, I need to figure out scratch spin first.  :o

ditto this. a really good one puts me into tears. looks effortless but stresses lower back and leading knee so much.

Lutz-lutz combinations.

A fully extended lift, so I can see where I am going during lifts.

I was always taught to dream big.  Mine would be a double lutz.  I am a firm believer in "anything is possible!"

Spins:  A layback spin that goes for over three revolutions and isn't on my toe. :-\

Jumps:  Have my axel back.  Walley and a big, beautiful Flying Leaf would be great too.

Footwork:  Straight line brackets ON BOTH FEET.

Figures:  My right, forward outside loop. (I can do left, but not right) :sweat

A Super High Spiral!

What's that mean?

Footwork:  Straight line brackets ON BOTH FEET.

The newish term for straight-line brackets is "bracket-bracket," but I knew what you meant. Nick - it's a common footwork move - forward bracket, backward bracket, repeat.  All on one foot with even tempo and flow.

They're so hard to do on my left foot!  I was very proud to manage a few on my right last week, off the wall!
These new skates may be my salvation!

Jump: Big beautiful axel
Spin: Death drop and fast camel
Footwork: fast flowing rockers and counters.  Just about anything fast and flowing :-)

So, I suppose, the most coveted skill for me is speed.

Spins: Flying camel. But can't even do a decent two-foot spin!
Jumps: I'd love to get an axel.
Dance: I want to complete all dances -- solo and partnered!
Footwork: All turns + Ina Bauer + outside spread eagle = <3 <3 <3

Yeah, my left foot doesn't like to do straight line brackets. . . .  and neither foot likes to do them at a good speed..  ::>)

A perfect waltz jump. One that looks good, feels good.    Maybe by the time I hit age 70, I'll have it.

Nice outside Ina Bauer. I can do it in insides and flats but not the elusive outside.

I would love to do a flying camel (those are so beautiful!) someday...and some really good jumps and spins.

But my *practical* goal is to pass Beta.  :) Also working on pivots, 2-foot spins, and spirals.

oops...I forgot to add CROSSOVERS!!! And efficient stroking. I'd love to move really fast on ice, with control.

To be good enough for my local synchronized skating team...ultimate dream!

I'd love to be able to do a fabulous illusion spin.
