Yikes, those ROH recommendations are crazy!  I don’t think I would enjoy a 1/4” radius at all…I might be so deep into ice I would need assistance getting out.

Query—I asked a couple of other skaters and they agreed that spinning is usually more difficult right after their blades are sharpened.  But there are so many things happening simultaneously in spinning that it is only one factor…if only it weren’t such an amazing feeling, we could just not feel compelled to work on spins. A long, well-centered spin is a transcendent experience that is worth all the effort.
