freestyle music inspiration!
« on: November 15, 2012, 07:15:02 PM »
Driving home from the rink today I heard this piece on the radio:

Was immediately inspired by it if I were ever to put together a freeskating program. The first minute and a half is delicate and flowery... would suit a program beginning with a graceful forward outside figure eight, like tracing butterfly wings, then a glide away at the 36 second mark into the rest of the program. Towards the middle there is a sort of crescendo. Would take a lot of chopping out, and other stuff added in, but the atmosphere is so lovely...
Hopefully before I die I'll get to skate a long program somewhere sometime somehow.
