Hurricane Sandy - Please Check In
« on: November 02, 2012, 02:29:50 PM »
Skaters, if you were in the path of Hurricane Sandy, please check in so we all know you're okay.

This NYer is okay.  Live in outer borough, work in Long Island.  Got water, lights and heat at home.  No lights at work.  Home all week.  A little bored.

Please check in; I worry.
Courage doesn't always roar.  Sometimes it's the quiet voice at the end of the day that says, "I will try again tomorrow."

Here in Virginia, it was nowhere near as bad as forecasted or feared. Where I live, it was no different from any other windy, rainy fall day. I'm glad to hear you're doing OK. The stories on the news are terrible.

I have heard from a few New Yorkers who used to post here - d b n y and sexyskates.  They are okay and things are getting back to normal slowly...

Sexyskates even found an ice rink that still had ice!
