Changing ISI rinks?
« on: May 21, 2012, 02:40:49 PM »
Does it matter?  We used to take classes at one rink and then pay our ISI membership fees at the same time.  But now dd takes classes at a different rink.  They will let me pay the fee there but it will change her announcements at ISI comps.  Is that anything anyone would care about?

I know changing clubs can be unusual, but this is just for ISI - our club would stay the same.

It wouldn't matter to me.  But neither does my USFS club, I've changed that a few times.

The ISI club around here though has a lot of "gear" and is very much a team.  If your daughter's old rink is like that, she might miss being announced as part of that rink.

She won't care.  All of her friends are at the rink we would be changing to...she would just be matching them.  It's not due till August, I'll run it by her coach (who is affiliated with our old rink).
