Title: US Figure Skating Award Nomination
Post by: Isk8NYC on July 15, 2011, 07:05:22 PM
US Figure Skating is up for two awards from SportsTravel, a sports travel association.

Please vote for the 2011 US Figure Skating Championships in Greensboro, NC in these two categories:

1) Best Multi-Sport or Multi-Discipline Event  (Second category on the page)
2) Sports Event of the Year (Final category on the page - USFSA is 10th on the pull-down list)

I'd like to see Greensboro get an award - they really did a great job of organizing Nationals and deserve some recognition, imo.  Plus, it's a little bit of publicity for the sport of figure skating itself in the USA!

Thanks very much.

The deadline for voting is Monday, August 15, at 5:00 p.m. PDT.

That's kind of neat!

Ironically, an event in the 1st category affected our skating.  The horseshoe tournament, iirc, required closing (melting?) the ice rink because they held it there.
