Blade inquiry
« on: September 01, 2013, 05:59:16 PM »
Hi all
My dd (8yo) is a beginner/intermediate skater starting MITF and skating USFSA FS3-4 and ISI 3-4 levels this fall. We just got Jackson Classique, as she didn't like Freestyle fit and it came with Mirage blade. I have read here about "intermediate" blades, such as CorAce and Ultima Legacy, however, I am a bit confused as we are new to this.

Particularly, if we take Legacy- besides toe pick and ROH all specs are the same. However, its considered more advanced and costs over 100 more. Toe pick aside, as its not all that important at her level and weight, one could sharpen a Mirage to 7/16" as well right? So, whats the actual difference to make Legacy more of "intermediate profile" blade? I understand CorAce has a diferent rocker, but to make a similar comparison, lets use Legacy.

Thanks in advance
